Exercise Induced Leg Pain (Compartment Syndrome) often referred to confusingly as “Shin Splints”.
Exercise induced leg pain can result from a number of conditions:
- Acute Compartment Syndrome
- Chronic (Exertional) Compartment Syndrome (CECS)
- Biomechanical Overload Syndrome (Responds well to gait retraining)
- Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome
- Superficial peroneal nerve syndrome (SPNS)
- Popliteal Artery Entrapment Syndrome (PAES)
